Those Who Give

Steve Laing Fire Science Memorial Donation

The McHenry County College Fire Science Department purchased a rescue mannequin for fire science training, shown in the front row, through funds from the Steve Laing Memorial Firefighter Fund created through the Friends of MCC Foundation. The fund was established by the Laing family in memory of Steve Laing, a veteran firefighter and well-known fire prevention advocate who died last February. The remainder of the fund will be used to help upgrade the sprinkler system in the fire training tower on the college campus.
